The PES sisters visited 3rd grade classes today. They talked about the three things we, as Catholics, do during Lent: Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. They also talked about Jesus’ love and how we give ourselves during Lent to give back to Jesus. Then students got to write something they are going to give back during Lent on a cross and they keep it in their classroom throughout Lent!

Hope Week is a school-wide event dedicated to fostering kindness, inclusion, and positive mental health. Led by nominated student members, it focuses on kindness, friendship, and teaching students to identify peers in need and connect them with trusted adults!

We love St. Mary!

Congratulations to these January "Act Like a Knight" recipients! Many others were caught acting like a knight. These are the students that were randomly selected on dart day. Thanks to all of our students for acting like a knight in your words & actions!

💪 February’s Virtue: Perseverance 💪
This month at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, we’re celebrating perseverance—the virtue that helps us stay strong, stay focused, and keep going even when things get tough.
Perseverance reminds us that with God’s help, we can face challenges with courage and finish the race set before us. Whether it's in the classroom, on the field, or in our daily lives, we’re encouraging our students to never give up and to trust that God is with them every step of the way.

⏳ January’s Virtue: Patience ⏳
As we begin a new year at Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools, we’re focusing on patience—the virtue that helps us trust God’s timing, stay steady through challenges, and respond with calm hearts.
Patience teaches us to pause, breathe, and remember that every moment is an opportunity to grow in grace. Whether we’re waiting, learning, or working through something difficult, we can choose to approach it with faith and perseverance.
✨ “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” – Psalm 37:7

🎉✨ Happy New Year! As we welcome 2026, we also celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God. 🙏 May Mary’s example of faith and love guide us into a year filled with hope, peace, and blessings. Wishing our St. Mary Elementary community a joyful and grace-filled New Year! 💙🌟

Attendance Matters: Serving Your Parish 💙🤲
When students are present, faith comes alive. Through regular attendance, our students learn that love is meant to be lived—by serving others and sharing the gifts God has given them.
From classrooms to parish life, we are forming hearts that understand faith isn’t just learned, it’s practiced. Thank you for partnering with us to help our students put love into action through service. ✨🙏
